HomeBuilders Association Scholarship Fund
Since 1987, the Home Builders Association of Metropolitan Harrisburg has awarded 5–10 scholarships of up to $2,000 each year to local students. Awards are based on academics, performance, and career goals, with preference given to those pursuing studies in building, construction, architecture, engineering, interior design, and related fields. Named scholarships include the Howard C. Gale Excellence Scholarship, Wayne Yohe Memorial Scholarship, Dustin Lenker Memorial Scholarship, and the Garman Builders Phil Shatto Legacy Scholarship. The Association proudly supports students preparing for careers in the building industry.

Many Voices are Stronger than One
PAC Fund
The Home Builder’s Political Action Committee (PAC) enables the HBA of Metropolitan Harrisburg to contribute to key legislators and attend events that provide opportunities for HBA members and staff to engage directly with lawmakers and their staff. Our PAC funds are used to support political candidates who understand housing issues, recognize the economic impact of the housing industry, and advocate for a strong homebuilding sector. With continued support, our PAC will increase our access to legislators and broaden our influence.
We advance this mission through two annual fundraising events—the PAC Golf Outing and PAC Cigar & Bourbon Night—and we welcome contributions throughout the year.
