Networking Opportunities
Member 2 Member Referral Network
A referral networking group for Members. The group meets monthly on a Tuesday, rotating between breakfast and afternoon meetings. Each attendee is alotted two minutes to introduce themselves, their company, exchange business cards, and share potential leads with the group. Each Meeting will include a Feature Builder, a Coffee & Donut Sponsor for Breakfast Meetings held from 7:30am-9:00am and First Round Sponsor for the afternoon Meetings held 3:30pm-5:00pm. There is no charge to attend these meetings. Meeting locations change each month.
Building After Hours
An opportunity to bring members and industry professionals together for networking and collaboration. This event takes place every other month from 5:00pm - 7:00pm at the host member’s place of business, with the opportunity to showcase the host company to attendees. Beverages and hors d’oeurves will be served and provided by the Host. Members are encouraged to bring non-members to this event.

Annual Clay Shoot
Join us for the annual HBA Clay Shoot Tournament, starting with lunch, followed by the shoot, and ending with a prize presentation and social. Sponsorships include Presenting, Food/Prize, Shell, Wobble, Beer & Snack, and Shooting.

Constructing Industry Connections Symposium
The HBA of Metropolitan Harrisburg is excited to announce the 2025 PA Builder Symposium, hosted with the Pennsylvania Builders Exchange (PBX). This event will provide industry insights from experts on topics such as materials, software, building codes, HR, legal, business development, and workforce building. Promoted regionally, the event offers various sponsorship opportunities.

PA Parade of Homes
The PA Parade of Homes is Central PA's most successful event, drawing thousands of in-person visits. This year, we're adding a virtual component for Builders and Associates to showcase their designs in various categories. No other event offers the same exposure. Sponsorships are available.
Political Action Committee
The Political Action Committee (PAC) supports industry-positive legislation for all companies. You can contribute by sponsoring or attending PAC events, or by becoming a Friend of the PAC. We host two annual events: the PAC Golf Outing in the Spring and a fundraising event in the Fall.
Pyramid Awards
Over 100 attendees gather at the Pyramid Awards to celebrate HBA members' hard work and quality. This member-only event highlights exceptional workmanship in categories like Interior Design and Best Remodel. Consider becoming a Presenting, Social, or Award sponsor.
Showcase Home
HBA partners with a Builder/Developer and product providers to create a million-dollar Showcase Home. Once complete, the home is open for public tours, featuring product vendors, a café, and shopping for furnishings and flowers. Donations for the tour support the HBA Scholarship Fund. Sponsorship opportunities available.

Member to Member Discounts
HBA members can access exclusive discounts on products and services from fellow members, promoting business within the network and strengthening industry connections. We encourage doing business with fellow members first.
Education Facility Room Rental
The David F. Sheppard, Jr. Education Facility is available for classes, meetings, events, and training, featuring high-speed internet, a 65” LED TV, surround sound, and a flip chart. HBA members receive exclusive discounted rates.
Councils & Committees
Finance Committee
Oversees the HBA’s budget, providing financial analysis, advice, and oversight to ensure the organization has the resources needed to serve members and the community.
Government Affairs/Political Action Committee
Monitors legislation and supports candidates who back HBA’s mission and affordable housing initiatives.
Membership Committee
Focuses on recruiting and retaining members while promoting HBA’s benefits and programs.
Parade of Homes Committee
Organizes the annual live and virtual Parade of Homes, recruiting builders, managing advertising, and supporting the Award Gala.
Remodelers Council
A subgroup of HBA with separate annual dues. Meets bi-monthly to discuss remodeling industry issues and programs. Membership includes NAHB Remodelers Council benefits like professional development, education, networking, and recognition. Also supports workforce development and short-term community projects.
Strategic Planning Task Force
Develops and maintains a long-term plan to guide the Association’s future.
Scholarship Committee
Reviews scholarship applications, recommends recipients, and supports fundraising events. Represents HBA at award announcements.
Showcase Home Committee
Partners with a Builder/Developer to manage the Showcase Home project, coordinating vendors and promoting it as a consumer destination. Supports vocational schools and the HBA Scholarship program through tour donations.
Women's Council
Advocates for women in the building industry, promoting professionalism and member support at all levels.
Workforce Development
Supports vocational schools and industry outreach to encourage student participation and strengthen the future workforce.
Young Professionals Council
Monitors legislation and Engages the next generation of members, vital for the industry’s growth as family businesses evolve and new technologies shape building systems.candidates who back HBA’s mission and affordable housing initiatives.
