Hunting Chateau transformed a dated mid-century ranch home in Grantville, Pennsylvania, into a one-of-a-kind rustic retreat designed for gathering, relaxation, and connection. While the original home offered character and charm, the homeowners envisioned a functional getaway where family, friends, and visiting hunters could enjoy separate yet welcoming living spaces. To achieve this vision, the home was taken down to its block foundation and completely rebuilt, creating an all-new structure while preserving meaningful elements of the property's history. The design blends rustic and eclectic influences through custom cabinetry, reclaimed barnwood flooring, double-chiseled edge countertops, antler lighting, and thoughtfully integrated smart home technology. A centerpiece of the renovation was the restoration of the original stone basement bar, built from stone sourced directly from the property. Enhanced with a new layout and a live-edge wood top, this feature honors the home's heritage while complementing the dramatic interior and exterior transformation.
